How
to save dough while still throwing an awesome bachelor party
Bachelor parties used to be pretty simple
and straightforward to plan, and ridiculously cheap to throw – but those days
are gone for good.
While you probably used to be able to throw
a bash the party with a couple of kegs in the basement or the backyard, a
couple of wild movies on the big screen, and maybe a few pool tables, poker
tables, and dartboards set up, today’s bachelor party is a little bit more
“involved”.
But if you don’t have an endless budget to
throw an amazing bachelor party like the ones you see in movies like The
Hangover, don’t worry – you can still throw an unforgettable event for the guys
closest to you without having to break the bank account.
You just need to know what you’re doing.
Cut
costs on transportation
The most important thing you can do to
dramatically drop the cost of your bachelor party is to cut out all of the
extra transportation that you probably don’t need.
Instead of having all of the guys drive to
a venue separately, each of them dropping dough on their own transportation,
think about having everyone meet up in a central location – and then piling
into a party bus tour chauffeured vehicle.
It’s going to cost a little bit up front to
get everything set up and ready to roll, but at the end of the day, it’s almost
always going to cost a lot less than everyone driving to the different bachelor
party of vents that are planned – and you don’t have to worry about any
expensive DUIs popping up along the way.
Cut
costs with the pregame
Secondly, alcohol is going to be a pretty
expensive part of any bachelor party, and you should do whatever you can to
drop the cost of buying drinks.
While you’re going to have absolutely no
control over how much money you’re going to have to spend at a bar, restaurant,
or strip club when you hit them with your friends, you can control how much
drinking you need to do at these venues by setting up a nice little wet bar in
your chauffeured transportation.
Hit a discount liquor store, grab a couple
of bottles of brown liquor and white liquor, and maybe a couple of bottles of
champagne if you’re feeling extra classy, and pregame on the way to all of the
different venues that you are going to hit.
DON’T
cut costs with the entertainment
At the end of the day, you need to make
sure that this is a bachelor party that no one will forget – but also the kind
of bachelor party that no one is going to want to tell outsiders about.
There is one area that you can’t cut costs
and not have the quality declined significantly, and that is the
“entertainment”.
If you’re hiring strippers, dancers, or
anybody else to put on a bit of a show for your friends during the bachelor
party, make sure that this is the one area that you splurge. You never want to
find out what a discount answer looks like – no matter how dark the venue is or
how many drinks you’ve already downed!
